Life as a kid:
– Sasha spent a lot of time with his grandparents.
– His grandfather was his role model. Unfortunately, he passed away seven years ago.
– Sasha says that he lived a normal childhood.
– He realized when he was around 6 or 7 years old that basketball was his dream job.
– His family would gather on Sundays.
– Sasha also claims that he was not an angel growing up.
Funniest moment: was when Sasha was around 9-10 years old. He was playing basketball with friends. He had to use the restroom but it was an important game. Since Sasha is very competitive and hates to lose, he waited until he won the game then ran all the way home to use the restroom.

Favorite subject in school: History. “I was a good student when I had to be.”
Favorite video game: Beatles Rock Band and FIFA Soccer
Favorite song: too many songs! U2, RHCP, too many!
Favorite music genre: No techno / rave, “I appreciate different kinds music”

Favorite sports [other than basketball]: Tennis, volleyball
Favorite sports teams [other than Lakers]: Lakers! Dodgers
Favorite athlete inspiration: Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, & Larry Bird because of their athleticism.
Favorite TV show: so many, hard to pick out one! There are too many good ones! Many out there.
Favorite actor/actress: None, just depends, but I respect good actors! "Love the actors I see at the game. I enjoy seeing the true laker fan actors.” [ie. Jack Nicholson, Andy Garcia, Denzel Washington, and many more]
Extras:
What are your plans after basketball? I don’t know yet, not going to be lazy! I will do something I believe in.
The best part about being an athlete/role model: I love being a big influence on kids. You work hard all your life for something. It’s good helping put them on the right track!

Sasha I’m married, but every day you make me regret my choice. I was sick with concern over your injury, but they wouldn’t let me drop off my famous chicken soup at the Staples center. Everything is getting back to normal now. I’m sleeping again now that you’re back in the the game. When is that coach of yours going to make my guy a starter? You’re MVP material. Hi Sasha i hope you get better soon. I hated to see you getting hurt in tonight’s game and will pray that you heal fast. In the mean time rest & take care of yourself.
