LONDON, ENGLAND
London is one of the most exciting and cosmopolitan cities in the world, what are your thoughts about this great city?
London is special. I have gone there three times in the past year. It is very multicultural and has a great vibe. Unlike Rome and Paris, London’s architecture is so diverse that it can’t be classified as a certain type or style. That is why it was so interesting to see how many different styles are implemented. Since it was founded by the Romans, there were few Roman remains amongst some very modern buildings. Also, everyone knows that London has the biggest bus network. This is interesting because it adds a little craziness to it and gives it a very fast paced feel.
You played at the O2 in London with the Nets not too long ago and you visited some sites there with the team, did you get to go back to any places that you missed and wanted to go to? What did you do there for fun?
Since I was on such a tight schedule, I didn’t get to go back to the places that I wanted to, but I really enjoy London and I love the feel of the city. It makes you feel as though you can’t stand still and need to always be active.
As a native Slovenian, European, what has it been like spending this time in Europe again as opposed to living in America?
It feels great whenever I am back in Europe. Although I now live in America, Europe is still my home and I will never forget where I came from.
Do you plan to do some more traveling in Europe? Where will you go from here? When will you come back to the US?
I am back in the U.S. now and I definitely plan to do some more traveling in Europe. Right now I am focused on basketball and I am working out and preparing for the season, but when I have some free time, I will surely return.
