As Sasha has had the opportunity to play basketball all over the world, Sasha also continues to attract new fans from all over the world. Glen Foulger from Essex in England is one of them. Glen immediately became a fan of Sasha’s when he went to the O2 in London to see the Nets vs. Raptors series. Although Glen is further away distance wise he feels this only makes his dedication as a fan more special in a way. Glen was kind enough to answer these questions to further express his enthusiasm as a Sasha fan.
Tell us why Sasha is one of your favorite basketball players.
I think his overall approach to the game is fantastic and ever since I saw him play for the Nets I liked him!
How did you become a fan of the Nets?
I went to see the Nets play the Raptors at the O2 arena and instantly knew that the Nets was the team I was meant to support and have watched almost every game since.
How do you feel Sasha has contributed to the Nets basketball team?
Sasha has contributed massively to the Nets, he is a brilliant player and any NBA team would be lucky to have him, so I am very pleased that he is with us.
What is it like being a basketball fan in the UK?
It’s obviously harder being an English NBA fan as it is not as big over here but it is always special staying up late to support your team!
You enjoy playing basketball yourself, if Sasha could help you with your game, what would you ask him to teach you?
Sasha is one of the best 3 point shooters in the NBA by far so if he could give me some pointers, it would help a lot!
Do you have a favorite Sasha basketball moment?
He has so many special moments it’s hard to pick one, mine was seeing him scoring 12 points in England when I saw him live.
If you could say something to Sasha, what would you want to say?
Just keep doing what you do, the fans adore you and you are a very special player and very lucky to have a gift to play basketball so enjoy it! (and please stay with the Nets)
