Dustin Mitchell is an aspiring musician who is a sports fanatic and considers the Lakers among one of his top teams. He loves to immerse himself in sports, watching videos and studying NBA and NFL networks on a daily basis. He is also one of the rare Lakers fans residing in Middle Tennessee.

How long have you been a Lakers fan? What influenced this?

I have been a Lakers fan for about two years. I’m a pretty big sports fanatic and I’m always watching any kind of sports, from the NBA to even high school football games.

How did you first notice Sasha?

He really caught my attention with those devastating threes he would knock down, most of them solidifying the win for the Lakers.

What is your favorite attribute about Sasha?

It doesn’t take a stone-cold NBA fan to realize that Sasha works as hard as he possibly can in every game. His determination and athleticism come together in the perfect marriage and truly make him one of the superior athletes in the game today.

Do you have friends or family that follow the Lakers too? Or are you on your own?

I have many friends who are Lakers fans. Some of them are even responsible for making me a bigger fan than I started out as.

Who’s your favorite Laker besides Sasha?

Obviously Kobe is the leading answer with this question, but I would say Lamar Odom. I often see flashbacks of Dr. Dre in Odom.

What do other people think about you being a Sasha fan?

There’s no surprises. Sasha’s abilities are obvious. Occasionally, people might be surprised, but when there’s a player like Kobe Bryant drawing so much attention on your team, it’s not always that surprising.

Do you have a favorite Sasha moment?

I would have to say in 2008 with his 20 points in Game 3 of the Finals against Boston. It was second behind Kobe that night. He was a superstar, to say the least.

Do you have anything you’d like to say to Sasha?

Congrats on your first championship. I’m proud of you and your entire team. Let’s go for #16 now!
