When I asked Adrian Fantasia to be in the fan spotlight, I wasn’t sure whether he would agree. The 21-year-old lives in Watertown, Massachusetts – the heart of Celtics country – and I didn’t want him to suffer the wrath of Boston fans for being on Sasha Vujacic’s site (not that very many of them visit it, I’m sure!).
However, Adrian is a brave man. He proudly dons his Lakers attire and isn’t afraid to call Sasha one of his favorite players.
How long have you been a fan?
I’ve been a Lakers fan for so many years now and I’ve been a fan of Sasha’s since the ’05-06 season.
What is it like being a fan in Boston? Are you also a Celtics fan, or is it Lakers all the way?
Ummm, I am a fan of the Celtics because I live here, but don’t worry Laker fans, I’m more on the Lakers side. It’s pretty hard sometimes. I get stuff yelled at me all the time, but I don’t care. I met another fan one time at a park when I was playing basketball. Other than that, I can’t remember knowing any other hardcore fans of the Lakers.
How did you feel during the Finals last year?
Last season during the Finals, I would wear my Kobe jersey outside walking around and people would beep their car horn and boo at me and give me the thumbs down. I would go to the gym and work out with it on and people would come up to me and ask me why I was wearing that, but I really didn’t care what they said. I loved it. I represented the Lakers all the way. Getting all that attention was funny. I remember during the Finals we had a jersey day at work and I wore the Lakers jersey, of course. 
People talked smack to me all day.
Unfortunately, we all know that the Lakers lost and I was sooo mad. I’ve been waiting years for them to win again so people can stop saying Kobe can’t win without Shaq and because I’m a fan, of course. I know they will win this season, though! I’m curious about what’s going to happen when the Lakers beat the Celtics or whoever they beat in the Finals this year. I can’t wait to be the one saying stuff back because there will be nothing anyone can say when the Lakers win.
So Sasha is one of your favorite players? What was it about him that caught your attention?
I love the way he plays. He plays with emotion and never gives up on either end of the court. He’s always hustling. When he does something wrong, he gets mad at himself and tries even harder next time. He’s one of my favorite players in the NBA. I’m just glad he’s on the Lakers.
What are some of your favorite things about Sasha?
Some of my favorite things about him are his three-point shot and his defense. You also got to love his hair!
Do you have a favorite Sasha moment or game?
Last year in the Finals where he lit up from three-point range. That right now is the first thing that pops in my head.
Anything else about your fandom that you’d like to share?
Well, I don’t know if this counts, but when I play basketball video games on my Xbox 360, I always put Sasha in right away and leave him in. He has also influenced me to play defense harder when I play basketball.
If you could say one thing to Sasha, what would it be?
I would probably tell him that he’s the man. Also that I love the way he plays and to let me shoot around with him. Oh, and also good luck in June!

wow. so i’m not the only one from the southern new england region who’s not a celtics fan! lol. i live in C.T., and it’s extremely hard to be a Lakers fan here. I get yelled at alot at school cause everyone’s a celtics fan. thanks for making me feel better.

That’s not very nice “Celtic Fan”, the members of the Celtics are probably friends with the Laker players. And they wouldn’t want you to go hating on their best friend. Like Lebron and Kobe have laughs together, and maybe Paul Pierce and Sasha do too. (I think…)

Very cool Adrian. Glad you love the Lakers even though you live in Mass.!!! To the Celtic fans who want to talk cr*p about you. Don’t worry they are just jealous, cause the Lakers are way cooler than the Celtics and none of there players are even half as hot and cute as our Sasha!!! I bet all the girls in New England who are Celtic fans secretly LOVE Sasha and think he is hot and wish he was on there team!!! And very cool as well to the young lady from Connecticut who posted here who likes the Lakers, sorry they are mean to you in school about it!! Like i said, just jeolous!! !!

but my favorite sasha momnet in the finals was when ray allen straight left him for the easy OPEN lay up and to see him stomp his way to the bench cryin and punchin chairs ahahahahahhahahah PRICELESS
